Uploading your headshots and résumé
How is this different than in the past?
- You will no longer need to ship 125 copies of your headshot because you will now be uploading a digital copy of your headshot.*
- You will no longer need to attach or print 125 copies of your résumé to your headshots as you will be entering your résumé online.
- You will no longer need to number each of your headshots as this information will now be submitted electronically.
Why we are doing it
- We wanted to make it easier for you.
- We wanted to make it cheaper for you.
- We wanted to improve the registration process for you as an actor, and for us - processing 125,000 headshots was no easy task!
- We will uniformly format your résumés so that the company reps will know exactly where to look for your information, saving them time and allowing them to focus more on your audition.
So what do you need?
- A digital copy of your headshot.* This should be an 8x10 (or other 5:4 aspect ratio image) of JPEG, GIF, BMP, or PNG format, no larger than 5MB, and preferably no smaller than 1MB. Portrait oriented (vertical) headshots are best, but landscape (horizontal) is also acceptable. You may upload either color or black and white headshots, however, all headshots will be converted to black and white. Some good examples are on this page.
- Your résumé. This will now be entered into the registration form and uniformally formatted. Below is an example of how your résumé and headshot will look to the company reps. Click here to see a larger version.
*If you do not have a digital copy of your headshot, you can still register online. Once registered online, you will need to mail us one copy of your headshot with $5, and we will scan and process your headshot for you. More detailed instructions on how to do this are provided once registration is complete.
